It is with great regret and sadness we let you know that our General Manager of our Heathrow Head office, Mike Davies sadly passed away on the 3rd January.
Mike had been diagnosed with Cancer a few months prior and had been very positive that he was going to beat this awful disease. Sadly, Mike lost his battle on the 3rd of January and peacefully passed with his family around him.
We would like to share in the condolences to Mike’s family, Mike was an absolute credit to, not only his family but to JAG UFS. He was an inspirational colleague, but more importantly, we have lost one of life’s genuine nice guys and an amazing “true” friend.
I was lucky enough to know Mike for 37 years as we both started our careers in freight forwarding around the same time and worked together for a forwarder at Heathrow and Mike transferred to the Cardiff office.
We have shared too many fun memories to mention. Everyone Mike came into contact with instantly saw his great knowledge of our industry and his infectious laugh and great sense of humour.
All at JAG UFS and all of those he knew will miss him massively, and will never forget him, a lot of the staff here owe Mike a debt of gratitude for training them to become the professionals that they are today.
God bless Mike, rest in peace, you will be forever in our thoughts.
