JAG UFS were asked by one of our X2 partners to handle the re-importation of two Formula D performance cars from Oman. These were originally sent from the UK to participate in the OIDC (Oman International Drift Championship 2020) which was unfortunately postponed due to COVID-19 situation.
As a motorsport, Formula D (Drifting) is unique in that it’s not a traditional race where drivers race to cross the finish line first with the fastest car on track. Drifting is a judged competition that awards the driver based on their skill and the car control showcased.
JAG UFS imported the two Formula D performance cars and spares from Oman on behalf of Shibu from KRS Logistics. Special arrangements were made for the container to be unloaded on quay at London Gateway, otherwise it would have been necessary to deliver the container to the importers address and drop to the floor to allow removal of the cars. By arranging this service at London Gateway, we were able to avoid time-consuming and expensive unloading for the customers.
The container was unloaded on the quay at London Gateway, smoothly drifting through all customs formalities. Both of the car owners were extremely happy with the JAG UFS service and pleased to get their vehicles and spare parts back so they can prepare for their next competition.
