What do you do when you get knock on your door for delivery of two brand new drainage plants to Ghana with no prior notice?
Most forwarders would have turned this unexpected project down which would have meant the client incurred additional wasted journey charges and significant delay in delivery to final destination.
JAG UFS set out to find a solution and get the shipment moving. We believe we logistics companies should always be ready for unpredictable, and we were.
Considering the urgency of the shipment; we didn’t want to let our customer down. As delivery was from third party supplier, our customer had been in the dark too with regards to scheduled delivery.
We acted swiftly to borrow a large forklift from one of the nearby warehouses so we could immediately off-load these massive units from the vehicle and stored them in our warehouse
In the same week, we booked a 40ft FR container to transport this huge OOG cargo. We delivered the loaded FR on a low loader to avoid any highway restrictions and before loading it on-board its ship for the smooth transit to its final destination to Ghana.
The drainage plant arrived in Ghana in record time, reducing construction delays in for the new Kumasi International Airport.
