Lego super car makes its debut in LA

JAG UFS transports delicate one-off Lego® super-car for a film shoot in LA and subsequent showcasing at a Beverley Hills showroom before it made its home-bound trip to the UK.
Customer requirements

This special super-car was built as a one-off, completely made of Lego, the only items that were original were the alloy wheels.

It was needed in Los Angeles on a specific date for a film shoot by the world biggest software company, followed by careful transport to a Beverley Hills showroom for special display event.

Ready dates and deadlines were provided by the customer.

The complete door-to door-service was required with a ‘white glove service’ needed at all destinations.

The JAG UFS solution

JAG UFS London worked alongside our professional packers to build a bespoke crate, to fit within the pallet size of an aircraft. We had to ensure that loading on to the aircraft was achievable and the Lego vehicle had to be totally secure and protected within the crate. Our professional packers received the vehicle and built the crates around the car, starting from the base and securing the car within the crate, ensuring that the car could not move in transit.

Meetings were held between JAG UFS London and JAG UFS in Los Angeles. Specialist requirements and details were discussed at length including specific delivery date requirements.

JAG UFS Los Angeles contacted the consignee and it was the designated delivery location would not have forklifts or the facilities to unload.

JAG UFS arranged for the car to be received at a car transporter company and was unpacked at their warehouse (keeping the packing case in good order) and for the car to be placed on a specialised car transporter.

Results

The car was delivered on time, perfectly intact, to the film shoot on a specialised car transporter and unloaded by professional staff.

JAG UFS staff were onsite to oversee the unloading and car put into location.

The car was then collected on the car transporter, delivered to the Beverley Hills showroom of the franchise for a week.

The car was collected, taken back to the warehouse, the car was then placed back and secured in the custom crate.

The car was returned to UK in perfect condition.
